1. Purpose of This Policy

This Research Use Policy sets out the conditions under which Optimus Peptides supplies research peptide compounds and the obligations accepted by all purchasers. It forms part of the contractual agreement between Optimus Peptides and all buyers and supplements our full Terms and Conditions.

The policy exists to ensure that our products are used safely, legally, and solely for their intended purpose - legitimate scientific investigation - and to protect both our customers and Optimus Peptides from the consequences of misuse.

2. Intended Use

Products supplied by Optimus Peptides are intended exclusively for:

  • In-vitro laboratory research and experimentation;
  • Academic and commercial scientific investigation;
  • Pharmacological and biochemical characterisation studies;
  • Development and validation of analytical research methods;
  • Any other lawful scientific research conducted by qualified researchers in a suitably equipped laboratory environment.

All research use must be conducted in compliance with the applicable laws, regulations, and institutional guidelines of the researcher's jurisdiction, including but not limited to health and safety legislation, chemical handling regulations, and research ethics requirements.

3. Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited and constitute a material breach of the purchase agreement:

  • Human administration - self-injection, ingestion, topical application, or any other form of administration to a human being;
  • Veterinary administration - administration to any animal outside of a lawfully conducted, ethics-approved research protocol;
  • Resale to unlicensed parties - supplying products to any individual or entity that is not a qualified researcher or licensed research institution;
  • Use as food supplements or cosmetics - incorporating products into any consumer product;
  • Unlicensed clinical trials - use in any study involving human subjects without appropriate regulatory approval;
  • Any unlawful purpose - use in contravention of any applicable national or international law or regulation.

4. Purchaser Confirmations

By placing an order, the purchaser unconditionally confirms and warrants each of the following:

I am a qualified researcher, scientist, or authorised representative of a licensed research institution, and I am purchasing in that professional capacity.

I am aged 18 years or over.

The products will be used solely for lawful in-vitro scientific research and will not be administered to any human or animal outside of an approved research protocol.

I have verified that the purchase, importation, and intended use of the product is lawful in my jurisdiction, and I accept sole responsibility for that determination.

I will handle and store the products in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and chemical handling regulations applicable in my jurisdiction.

I understand that these products have not been approved by any regulatory authority for human or veterinary use and that no information provided by Optimus Peptides constitutes medical advice.

I accept full and sole responsibility for any consequences arising from the use, misuse, or improper handling of the products, and I agree that Optimus Peptides shall bear no liability in this regard.

5. Safe Handling Guidelines

Purchasers are responsible for determining and implementing appropriate safe handling procedures for each compound. As a general baseline, the following precautions are recommended for research peptide handling:

  • Handle all compounds in a suitable laboratory environment with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including lab coat, gloves, and eye protection;
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke in the area where compounds are being handled;
  • Store lyophilised compounds at −20°C in sealed, light-protected containers as directed;
  • Dispose of unused compounds and reconstitution materials in accordance with applicable waste disposal regulations for research chemicals;

6. Regulatory Compliance

  • Seek appropriate legal remedies including injunctive relief and damages;
